Known as 'Vegetable Oyster' this root
tastes remarkably like oysters. Creamy white roots are 8 to 9 inches
long and 1 to 1-1/2 inches across at the shoulder. Excellent when
peeled, sliced and boiled or fried, and served in sauces or soups.
Requires a long season, but can either be dug and stored in the fall
or left in the ground all winter and harvested as needed. Easy to
grow, salsify does best in loose, sandy soil. Approx. 110 Seeds/Pkg.
