Alyssum Carpet of Snow [ Lobularia Maritima ] is an outstanding, quick flowering, low border annual plant. It is Old-fashioned and sweet, honey-like fragrance which gives an impression of the mild exquisiteness. This fragrant garden favorite produces masses of crisp white blooms. There flowers are pure, white florets, 1/4 inches wide and they produce 1-2 inch wide clusters. The leaves are medium green and they flower freely which is why they are great decorative flowers. Ideal for lining walkways, borders, edgings in rock gardens and constantly used for window boxes, sometimes used between paving stones, because they are ideal for decorative purposes.
